The Moapa Valley Revitalization Project (MVRP) is a non-profit organization whose goal is to create a community locals can be proud of. Where store fronts are no longer vacant and tourists have a reason to stop and explore. Having a quaint community that encourages tourism is a great way to spark our local economy without changing what it is that makes it unique. Read more about the MVRP.

Welcome to Overton Sign

The MVRP has set up an ongoing program where individuals or businesses ‘adopt’ the sign each month and decorate it. There has been a tremendous, positive response to this project! Improvements to the Sign were completed as a result of a Boy Scout Eagle Project accomplished by Joseph Muhlestein under the direction of the scout leader Andrew Meeks.

This month’s sign was decorated by Younique presenter and MVRP member Shelly Benkman and decorated by fellow MVRP Members MaryKaye Washburn, Marjie Willis-Holland & Chris Benkman.

To view the decorated sign pictures over the years, go to Projects and scroll down to the Welcome to Overton Sign Tab.
